ABOUT INDIA

 India Sahai is a singer/ songwriter from Toronto, Canada, currently living in New York City. India has a large vocal range with great use in her low notes. Her voice is often described as a powerful instrument. India’s powerful voice along with her emotion filled, story based lyrics creates songs that pull from the pop, r&b and jazz genres. 

India received a BFA in Vocal Performance from The School of Jazz and Contemporary Music, where she was class valedictorian and an honors graduate. At the school of jazz she trained with Marlon Saunders and Charlotte Small. She also has trained in many different genres of music including Pop and Rock with the Trinity School of Music and Classical with the Royal Conservatory of Music. India has also done lots of work in the musical theatre field.

India has been performing from a very young age and has had the opportunity to perform at iconic Toronto venues such as the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, Roy Thompson Hall and the Jazz Bistro and New York Venues such as The Bowery Electric, Bar 55 and Kobrick Coffee.
